The creative industries in Africa offer massive potential for continent-wide job and economic growth. Developing the creative industries would draw on African culture as a unique selling point. However, realizing this distinctive proposition requires building global and regional supply chains across the continent so that Africa takes ownership of its own designs and benefits economically from the expropriation of its cultural content. This would, in turn, create new trade patterns for African economies and stimulate large-scale job creation.
