Isabel is an Angolan Business woman whose investments are in energy and finance. Until November 2017, she was the head of Sonangol, the country’s state oil company. Isabel’s assets in Angola also include 25 percent of Unitel, the country’s largest mobile phone network as well as 42 per per cent of a bank, Banco BIC.
In Portugal she owns nearly 6 percent of oil and gas firm Galp Energia alongside Portuguese billionaire Americo Amorim. She is also a controlling shareholder of Portuguese cable TV and telecom firm Nos SGPS (formerly called Zon).
Isabel holds a Degree in Engineering Science and Management from the University of London (King’s College). She also speaks Russian, Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian fluently.
