Ibrahima Cheikh Diong, Founder and CEO of the Pan African Dakar-based Advisory firm, ACT AFRIQUE GROUP, has over 25 years of professional experience in Africa, in the United States, Europe and Asia. Ibrahima was the Senior Africa Advisor of BNP Paribas for more than 3 years. He has held senior positions as Minister, Ambassador at large, Chairman of the Board (PCA) of Group Air Senegal, Director General of International Cooperation and Permanent Secretary of Energy, all in Senegal. He was also a Director at the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) based in the United States, Kenya and South Africa, Associate at the International Department of one of the largest US consulting firm, Booz-Allen & Hamilton. Ibrahima has also served as an independent consultant for several international organizations, NGOs, large private groups, African and American governments, among other things. Ibrahima is constantly sought out to moderate major debates and panels on topics of high importance to Africa (energy, natural resources, infrastructure, information technology, telecommunications, etc.)
A graduate of the prestigious Columbia University in New York City with a Master in International Relations specialized in environmental policy and international finance and from Hohai University of China in the field of civil engineering, Ibrahima speaks fluent French, English, Chinese and Wolof.
